Geopathic stress is the name given to detrimental or unstable earth radiation and electromagnetic radiation. The earth has an inherent magnetic field and behaves as though at its core is a magnet. The earth rotates, and this action creates electric currents in the metals located in the core, resulting in a magnetic field. The concept of magnetic fields is not a new phenomenon; they have been around since the creation of the earth.
Though geopathic stress can be naturally induced (large mineral deposits, naturally existing underground water streams, and fault lines in the substrata of the earth all can contribute), past generations have lived in coexistence with them because they took great care to avoid points of particular negativity. The modern world, however, has dismissed this manner of relating to earth energies, developing mine shafts, underground cavities and subterranean water constructs for sewers, drains, building foundations, etc., all of which distort the earth energy to highly detrimental levels.
Research in geopathic stress arose in the 1920s in Europe, particularly France and Germany. Recently, federal funding has been funneled into studying its effects further. Doctors in these countries also use the concept in diagnosis, notably in cases of cancer. They have trained practitioners, called Dowsers, to check for earth lines in areas where the patients spend a great deal of time. These lines, about 2.5 meters apart, create a grid all over the earth. The lines themselves are toxic in and of themselves but the crossing points (where two lines meet) are especially noxious, having been implicated in everything from cancer to migraines, insomnia to divorce.
The effects are most strongly felt if two lines cross your bed as you spend 7-8 hours sleeping. Your body is more vulnerable when you are sleeping as it heals and recovers from the stresses of the day. Moreover, for reasons still unknown, the radiations from the earth are amplified at night.
These energies disturb the overall functioning of the body and result in immune system dysfunctions, arthritis, cancer and other degenerative diseases, aches and pains that seem resistant to treatment, depression, a general lack of energy, and an overall feeling of malaise. Financial problems, difficulty concentrating, irritability, bad luck and disruptive behavior have also been blamed as the effects of regular exposure to geopathic stress and the resulting lack of rejuvenating sleep. The body, instead of switching into restorative mode, stays on permanent heightened alert.
The most simple and immediate solution is to avoid, at all costs, spending long period of time in areas where lines exist and, in particular, where they cross. Move your bed, desk or chair or change bedrooms. Other more elaborate methods of clearing geopathic stress do exist but have varying degrees of success and are best left to an expert Dowser.
